Cross My Heart Lapis Lazuli Ring

This type of irregular focal lends itself so beautifully to prong setting, a great technique that required in this case, precisely set prongs. I made this ring in a class I taught, called Cross My Heart.

I’ve set sterling silver vining along the top, with a cast silver Posy just above the 5/8”x5/8” Lapis lazuli cross, at the top of the ring. The ring focal measures approximately 1-1/4”L by 1-1/4” W.

The band is made from sterling silver low dome wire, which measures a bit under 6mm wide. Please note that this is what might be considered a wide band, as it measures approximately 6mm. This Cross My Heart ring is a size 7-3/4”.
